BB/SB Banquet

MMS Baseball/Softball Banquet 

Both the MMS baseball and softball teams will be having their banquet on Saturday, September 26th starting at 11am. The banquet will take place at Lacon Pool Park.

Hot dogs, buns, lemonade, and eatery will be provided. We would like to ask each family to bring a dish to share. Awards will also be presented for each team. If you would like to bring outdoor games, there will be an opportunity to share in activities. Also, bring lawn chairs is advisable as we may lack seating if a large number attends!

Bass Fishing

MIDLAND BASS TEAM at Lake Shabbona

The team of AUSTIN BICKEL and TRACE BOGNER finished in 3RD place at LAKE SHABBONA on September 12, in the latest B.A.S.S. Series.  With a passing cool front, the fishing had slowed.  There were only a few fish caught and our two Freshman Anglers managed to catch enough to get them to a 3rd place finish. There was a total of 18 teams, 5 teams were fishing JR Bassmasters the others were all High School Teams from all over the State.

1.      Fifteen team members allowed.

2.      Fourteen-minute warm-up before games at 8 & 9. Three-minute serve time will be allowed before the rest of the games.

3.      2 out of 3 game matches will be played with each team in your pool. Games one and two will be played to 25 (cap 30). Third game will be played to 15 (cap 21). Tie breaker is head to head and points scored. A team’s position in its round robin will determine what place it plays for in the finals.

Tonight's Baseball and Softball games have been canceled due to the heavy rain this morning. Both teams will practice at the Middle School until 5:30. There is an activity bus. 

Golf is on as of 12:30. The course is in playable condition and we are monitoring the radar. We will make the official call around 2:30 pm.

JV Football is on. Unless a severe weather threat moves in that game will be played as scheduled. Again we are monitoring the situation.
